The Confident Solids Method™
Most babies start solids
the wrong way.
The standard advice ignores the most important thing: your baby's gut isn't ready for most of it. This is the gut-first method that changes everything — built by a nutritionist whose son left the NICU with a compromised microbiome.

The problem
Starting solids feels harder than it should.
You've Googled "first foods for baby" and gotten seventeen different answers. Your pediatrician said purées. Instagram said baby-led weaning. One account said allergens early, another said wait.
The overwhelm comes from one thing: nobody is teaching the sequence. What to give first. Why that order matters. How to read your baby's gut.
- 01
Conflicting advice everywhereEvery source says something different. Nobody gives you a sequence that actually makes sense.
- 02
The gut is being ignoredMost solids advice focuses on what to feed — nobody talks about preparing the gut first.
- 03
The window is closingBetween 6 and 12 months your baby's gut and oral motor pathways are most receptive. Every week without a plan is a missed opportunity.
- 04
No one teaches the sequenceWhat to give first, why that order matters, how to build tolerance — this is the gap the method was built to fill.
Why I built this
My son Mateo spent his first days in the NICU.
He was diagnosed with a condition that required daily antibiotics as a newborn — in a brand-new gut that had never had a chance to establish itself.
As a nutritionist, I knew exactly what that meant for his microbiome. The bacteria that shape digestion, immunity, skin health, and allergy risk for years to come had been disrupted before they even formed.
"I didn't follow the standard advice. I sequenced intentionally. I started with foods that supported his gut lining before asking it to do complex digestive work."
It worked. His gut healed. His skin cleared. His relationship with food has been calm and curious from the beginning.
I built The Confident Solids Method because that approach shouldn't require a nutrition degree to access. Every baby deserves this start.

What's inside
Five guides. One complete feeding system.
Every guide connects to the next. The phases, the textures, the fermented foods, and the tools all build on each other. Nothing contradicts. Everything builds.

How the method works
A system that builds on itself. Phase by phase.
This is not a list of foods to try. It is a sequence — each phase building the foundation for the next. Every step has a purpose.
Phase 01
Gut
Foundation
Days 1–14
Prepare the gut before asking it to work hard.
The first two weeks are not about nutrition variety — they are about gut lining support. Meat stock, egg yolk, and easily digestible proteins lay the foundation before anything more complex is introduced. This phase is why the method works.

Phase 02
Building
Variety
Weeks 3–6
Introduce vegetables, fruits, and allergens on a stable gut.
With the gut foundation established, this phase expands flavour and food variety. Soft-cooked vegetables, ripe fruits, and the systematic introduction of the top allergens — all offered in a sequence that gives the gut time to respond to each new food before the next is added.

Phase 03
Texture &
Chewing
Months 2–3
Build the oral motor skills that shape chewing, speech, and lifelong eating.
This phase follows the 5-stage texture ladder — moving progressively from soft mashed to soft lumps to dissolvable solids to chewable pieces to family foods. Each stage is timed to the oral motor developmental window and connected to speech development milestones.

Gut-check system
Checklists at every stage telling you when your baby's gut is ready to move forward.
Fermented foods
The fermented foods guide runs alongside the method — introducing gut-supportive foods as the system progresses.
100 foods reference
A visual guide to preparing any food safely for every stage of the method.
Troubleshooting
A full symptom table and reset protocol for when something doesn't go to plan.
The difference
This is not a food list. It is a framework.
Gut-first sequencing
Most guides tell you what to offer. This one tells you why the order matters. The method begins with gut preparation because a supported gut tolerates food better, reacts less, and builds tolerance more reliably.
A complete system, not a collection of tips
Every guide in this bundle connects to the next. The phases, the textures, the fermented foods, and the practical tools all build on each other. Nothing contradicts. Everything builds.
Proven at home, not just in theory
This method was built in a real kitchen, with a real baby who had real gut challenges. Evidence-informed and lived-in. The recipes work. The timelines are realistic. The troubleshooting is based on what actually happens.
